The Joslyn Castle is a beautiful historical building that was built in 1903. Architect John McDonald designed the 4 story, 19,360 square-foot mansion. Originally named Lynhurst, the property included a carriage house, bowling alley, and exotic plant greenhouses. From 1944-1989, the mansion served as the administrative headquarters for Omaha Public Schools. The castle was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. The mansion now serves as a museum to the public and hosts many charity events!
